The clinic features Sophie Piere Clifton, “The Teachers Teacher," and is designed as an intensive introduction to “How to Teach” and will include both theory and hands-on practical sessions covering themes including as “Identifying & Adapting to Your Students Learning Styles” and “Developing Your Eye." USDF University Accredited; open to all instructors of all levels. Meets criteria for Certified Instructors to use toward required 16 hours of continued education for 2008. Cost: participants who are Alamo Dressage Association members, $150; non-ADA but Region 9 members, $160; outside the region, $170. 21-22Seminar with Jane Savoie, Brazos County Exposition Center, hosted by BACH. Saturday seminar: auditor education, hour-long lecture on sports psychology for the dressage rider, demonstration of dressage movements and exercises to condition, supple and advance the dressage horse along the training scale, on-site lunch, and potluck dinner. Sunday clinic with five 3-person lessons of approximately one hour each. Auditors are invited, on-site lunch. The BACH board of directors will solicit and review applications for the demo rider and clinic slots. Contact information to follow.
